Early Intervention Supports
Timely support today for greater independence tomorrow.
Building Foundations for the Future
Early Intervention is one of the most impactful categories of NDIS support. By providing the right assistance early — particularly for children and young people — we can help build foundational skills, reduce the impact of disability, and set participants on a trajectory toward greater independence and participation in life.
Our early intervention services are family-centred, evidence-based, and delivered in collaboration with allied health professionals to ensure a holistic approach to capacity building.
Our Early Intervention Services
- Functional capacity building (fine motor, gross motor, cognitive)
- Social skill development for children and adolescents
- Support for families and carers (education, strategies, respite)
- Coordination with allied health professionals (OTs, speech therapists, psychologists)
- School and early learning environment support
- Behavioural support and positive behaviour strategies
- Transition planning (early childhood to school, school to post-school)
- Assistive technology introduction and training
Who Benefits
Early Intervention supports are available to NDIS participants of any age, but are particularly impactful for children aged 0–7 who are in critical developmental windows. These supports are also valuable for participants who have recently acquired a disability and can benefit from early, intensive capacity building.
NDIS Funding
Early Intervention is funded under NDIS Capacity Building — "Improved Daily Living" or as Early Childhood Early Intervention (ECEI) supports. Funding is designed to build the participant's functional capacity and reduce future support needs.
