Accessibility Statement

Our commitment to making this website usable by everyone, regardless of ability or technology.

Last updated: 5 April 2026

1. Our Commitment

DiverseAccessCare is committed to ensuring that our website and digital services are accessible to everyone, including people with disability. Accessibility is not just a legal obligation under the Disability Discrimination Act 1992 (Cth) and the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) Practice Standards — it is at the heart of who we are and what we do as a registered NDIS provider. We continuously work to improve the accessibility and usability of our digital experiences for all users.

2. Conformance Standard

We aim to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA, published by the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C). WCAG 2.1 explains how to make web content more accessible for people with a wide range of disabilities, including visual, auditory, physical, speech, cognitive, language, learning, and neurological disabilities. Where reasonably practicable, we also adopt Level AAA criteria.

3. Accessibility Features

The following features have been built into this website to support accessibility:

  • Semantic HTML5 markup with appropriate landmarks and heading hierarchy.
  • Descriptive alternative text for all meaningful images.
  • Sufficient colour contrast between text and background, meeting or exceeding WCAG AA ratios.
  • Keyboard navigation support for all interactive elements, including a visible focus indicator.
  • Skip-to-content links for screen reader and keyboard users.
  • Responsive design that adapts to different screen sizes, orientations, and zoom levels up to 200% without loss of content or functionality.
  • Form fields with associated labels, clear error messages, and ARIA attributes where appropriate.
  • Plain English content where possible, with the option to request information in Easy Read or other accessible formats.
  • Captions and transcripts provided for embedded video and audio content.

4. Assistive Technology Compatibility

This website is designed to be compatible with current and recent versions of major web browsers (Chrome, Edge, Firefox, Safari) and assistive technologies, including:

  • Screen readers such as JAWS, NVDA, VoiceOver, and TalkBack.
  • Screen magnification and high-contrast modes.
  • Speech-recognition software such as Dragon NaturallySpeaking.
  • Keyboard-only navigation and switch devices.

5. Known Limitations

Despite our best efforts, some content on the website may not yet meet our target accessibility standard. Known limitations include some embedded third-party content (such as maps and social media widgets) and historical PDF documents. We are actively working to remediate these items and welcome feedback that helps us prioritise improvements.

6. Alternative Formats

If you require any information from this website in an alternative format — including Easy Read, large print, audio, braille, or a language other than English — please contact us. We will provide the requested information in an accessible format within a reasonable timeframe and at no cost to you. Translation and interpreter services, including Auslan interpretation and the Translating and Interpreting Service (TIS National) on 131 450, are available on request.

7. Reporting Accessibility Barriers

We welcome feedback on the accessibility of our website. If you encounter an accessibility barrier, find content that is difficult to use, or have suggestions for improvement, please let us know. When reporting an issue, please include:

  • The web address (URL) where you experienced the issue.
  • A description of the problem and what you were trying to do.
  • The browser, operating system, and any assistive technology you were using.
  • Your preferred contact method so we can follow up.

We aim to respond to accessibility feedback within five (5) business days and to remediate confirmed issues as soon as reasonably practicable.
